Session Capacity

As Alberta continues to move out of the pandemic crisis, the public health guidelines continue to loosen and our in-person session capacity will increase.

Coinciding with the move to Stage 2 Reopening (anticipated for June 10), our Centre will start to accommodate 12 students for every in-person session hour. This should alleviate most of the difficulty finding an available spot for your child’s session.

When the pandemic restrictions are lifted in Stage 3, our Centre will return to full capacity. Drop-in sessions will be allowed but we will continue to recommend that sessions be reserved in advance; this helps us to adjust our staffing with the changing demands. On-line sessions must always be reserved in advance.

Current information concerning Stage 3 indicates that masks and physical distancing will no longer be required. For the sake of our students and staff, we will continue to recommend the use of hand sanitizer or hand washing upon entry and exit. We will also extend our disinfectant protocols and reduction of touched surfaces throughout the summer.

July 5 Update: The City of Calgary's Face Coverings Bylaw was repealed today. Face masks are still welcomed but not required. If you wish your child to wear a mask or to have us instruct your child while wearing masks, please let us know and we will be happy to comply.

Summer Instructional Hours

For July and August, we will return to the regular summer instructional hours from last year, remaining open on Mondays through Thursdays:

11:00 am – 12:00 pm for on-line sessions (only) using Mathnasium@home

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm for in-person and/or on-line sessions

We will be closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through July and August.

If those days/times do not work well with your child, please contact us and we will try to accommodate your needs using Mathnasium@home, given at least 24 hours notice.

Camp Mathnasium will be operating for children in Grades 2 – 6 on Monday-Thursday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon during specified weeks in July and August.
