Mariya Oskam is the best Mathnasium instructor ever. We are so grateful and lucky to have such an amazing , dedicated and supportive instructor . When my daughter (who is in grade 11) needed a review plan for preparation with her midterm , Mariya was able to put that into action right away. Therefore , my daughter was able to understand the topics and feel confident with all the formulas that were on her midterm.

My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for about a year and a half and when she started she was a couple of school years behind her grade level. She is now caught up and going into grade 8 next year has done so well in fact that she will be skipping Math 8 and going straight into Math 9. She has worked very hard and diligently but I know Mathnasium has helped tremendously in her problem solving skills and building foundations. Thank you so much!

Hi Folks. I am very pleased with the program that my niece is on at Mathnasium. Hem has been excellent with the structure of the learnings. They identified the areas that she needed specific focus and attention in order to allow her a better path to success in her future development for her last 2 years of high school......and more. I would highly recommend this company/location/Hem to any person who is seeking help/understanding of the curriculum they are currently trying to learn.

My kids have been attending lessons at Mathnasium for a year and a half and it has really changed the way they think about math. They can now think more critically and problem solve with much less effort, because they have learned so much of the foundations they were missing. My daughter has been going to Langley Mathnasium for approximately 2 years, after discovering that she was a few grades behind in her understanding. The instructors have worked to keep her current math knowledge up, while also working to catch up on the math she was behind on. Her confidence has increased massively, and in grade 9 she finished the math class with a Proficient in her final exam.
We have been incredibly happy with how she is treated there, and how communicative they are with us, always willing to talk. It is a positive environment, where the kids have fun as well as learning. I cannot recommend it enough!

The one on one my daughter receives while attending her classes is amazing.

My son who is in Middle school needed help with math. A friend of ours recommended Mathnasium as their son had issues with math before. Once I brought my son in for an assessment and a trial session, he immediately felt more confident. The instructors gave him tailor made help and were very patient with him. It’s been a 10/10 experience. Thanks to Mariya and the other instructors at the Langley location.

We saw change in our son’s math abilities within the first 3 weeks!! His teacher actually sought me out after school and said she was stunned at the dramatic difference in his attitude towards math. I can physically see a once struggling child now rise to the challenge with a whole new attitude and confidence. This change alone has been so fantastic to witness, let alone his understanding of concepts he used to struggle so much with. I can’t say enough good things about the team at Mathnasium!!

My son Max was having problems with Math, and as a mom I was worry.....I wish I enrolled him before!, now he really enjoys to come to the center and at school he feels more confident, and when he does not know, he is not afraid to ask. As a mom I'm very happy with the program, Dr Sylvia and the staff are very kind and helpful and they understand kids in a different level. I wish when I was a kid, I had Mathnesium in my life!

Very good approach to the kids, are able to make math fun and easy, my child is learning in a fun and creative way.
There is a structure and very detailed report on the progress of the child.
The stuff is very good and friendly, Dr.Sylvia knows and cares about each student and his educational needs, besides that she is a very nice and caring person.

My son is always coming out saying he lost his card I feel like those cards are of value to the kids.. there should be a better way for them to keep them safe. Also sometimes he doesn’t get his hole punch on card he mentioned. Other than that I am

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr.Sylvia and her team. From the assessment, the trial, to my son’s first month, everyone has not only been kind and welcoming, but happy to answer any questions we’ve had. The difference in my son’s overall knowledge in the first month alone was staggering at our first reporting session. Mathnasium is a must! As a single Dad of three it has been a critical part in our path to academic success. My kids were behind in Math. After going through the program from as early as grade 4 right through grade 12 all three of my kids graduated high school and were accepted to University. There is no way with today’s mathematics that I could have helped them. Mathnasium identifies the holes in their learning and then fills them. Then they strengthen their understanding and build their abilities. I cannot understate how important it has been for our family. One daughter graduated with honours, my son graduated with honours and then made the Dean’s List in University. My youngest is achieving honours and is able to pursue her dreams. This is a long term investment that will pay dividends for their entire lives. Sylvia and the entire team at Mathnasium are kind, caring and helpful people who care about the students and help them to become proficient in Math. This helps in Math but as a direct result opens their pathways to the Sciences as they rely on advanced mathematics as well. Start early as it is difficult to catch up without a lot of work and determination. Thank you Mathnasium for keeping the doors open to a successful future for my children. You’ll be relieved you made the decision as your kids get into more and more advanced mathematics that may be beyond your abilities.

My daughter’s experience has been incredible. After several years she still expresses excitement and desire to continue with the program. This place is amazing and both of my boys learns so much. I recommend this place to get a kickstart on learning!
I always hear my kids talking about how much fun they have there and how kind the instructors are.
Me and their teachers in school can see a clear difference in their math grade and how they are top of their class in math.

A very supportive environment, that goes at the learning pace of the child. Mathnasium also keeps my child engaged in the learning process through games and strategies that make learning math fun.
