Michael Erkau, Owner/Centre Director
Michael Erkau, Owner/Centre Director Michael has a Bachelor's Degree in Education and has previously worked as a teacher in Manitoba for 8 years before moving to the private sector in the IT industry. Working in the private sector has enabled him to fully understand how important math is in today's environment. He is married and has three daughters. Michael believes that a good education allows students to achieve their maximum potential in life, and since Mathnasium allows for kids to learn math in a unique and fun way, it’s a perfect match! Building confidence is the key and learning at Mathnasium will help kids become more confident.
Gerald Trojillo, Lead Instructor
Gerald is a student enrolled at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Science. In high school, he excelled in math as he has won multiple national math contest awards, and completed the Calculus I and II courses at the University of Manitoba in Grade 12. He is also a Shad Valley Alumni, a summer S.T.E.M. program in the top Canadian universities for exceptional students across Canada. Currently, Gerald volunteers at the hospital as a physiotherapy assistant and enjoys playing basketball. His background in mathematics and experiences will help connect with students and improve their academic skills.
Ramnik Kaur, Instructor
Ramnik is enrolled at the University of Manitoba. She completed Calculus I and Calculus II at the University of Winnipeg in grade 12. Her passion for math inspired her to help others do well at it. She was a peer tutor in her high school and tutored science courses along with math. She believes that sharing expertise with others is an essential part of learning. She loves to play badminton and cook for her family in her free time
Ansdeep Kaur, Instructor
Ansdeep has her Master's in Mathematics and Bachelor's in Education as well as 6 years experience of teaching experience. She had run a maths coaching centre for 4 years and received a state award for 100% result by department of education punjab india. In her spare time Andseep loves reading books and listening to music.
Huinan (Kim) Bipeng, Instructor
Huinan graduated from the University of Manitoba. She achieved 90% or higher for her math classes in high school and A for all math courses at University. She achieved the top 100 in provincial Math completion in 2015. She likes to help classmates with their math problems and often goes over a review with her friends before exams. her friends can get a great mark after her help. Huinan is a Chinese native speaker and she always helps students or partners who have a language problem.
Ben Haverstick, Instructor
Benjamin is enrolled in the University of Manitoba and working towards a degree in Actuarial Mathematics. Enjoying math from an early age he would regularly study it on his own. This led to him competing in multiple provincial math contests where he would excel. As well as finishing high school mathematics on his own to accelerate his studies. In high school he would take part in debate club, and regularly peer tutor other students. He believes that people should strive to improve themselves, and be balanced in all aspects of their lives.
Victor Aderinto, Instructor
Victor is a first year student Electrical Engineering student at the University of Manitoba.
He always had an interest from in maths from high school and represented my school at a regional maths competition. He is also a member of the University of Manitoba Mathletics Society and volunteers with University of Manitoba SSA to tutor Calculus 1 and Linear Algebra. He loves playing chess and reading.
Victor believes math should be treated as fun, and strives to pass on this motto to his students.
