Gagandeep Kaur

Centre Instructor
Gagandeep is a highly driven professional with over 10 years of experience in teaching,with a Masters in Mathematics, and a strong dedication to fostering the learning and development of children of all ages. She is passionate in instructing and assisting young people in reaching their full potential. Gagandeep has lots of experience in tailoring her teaching strategies to suit student's needs

Gabriella Barone

Instructor
Gabriella is a third year Microbiology student at the University of Manitoba and is planning on pursuing a career in health care. She is an executive member of Science FUNdamentals, a non-profit that organizes educational and exciting presentations for elementary school classrooms, and Maids of Athena, which is an organization for girls in the Greek community of Winnipeg. She also loves reading, cycling, and fun socks. Her goal is to make learning math accessible, interactive, and FUN!

Tom Liu

Instructor
Tom holds the bachelor of science degree from Brandon University with the major in mathematics, graduated with the great distinction.For university study, his interest area on math is the complex variable and the most challenging one is the real analysis. Tom believes that math should be focus on much more practice and also independent thinking is the key for success on the math learning.

Ellen Kang

Instructor
Ellen is a student at St. Mary’s Academy, finishing her final year of high school. Her passion for STEAM and mathematics inspired her to help others feel more confident in understanding mathematical concepts. She is the co-head of the peer tutoring program in her high school, and has 4 years of tutoring experience in science and math courses. She loved playing badminton and listening to music. Ellen believes in making math enjoyable and engaging, to build critical thinking skills and further enhance the learning of others.

Ethan Lin

Instructor
Ethan is in his final year studying Microbiology at the University of Manitoba. He has placed on both the provincial and national honour rolls for mathematics contests since middle school, such as the Mathematica Centrum contests as well as the CEMC contests from the University of Waterloo. He has enjoyed learning about anything related to math or science from a young age. In his spare time, he relaxes by playing basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee and chess.

Tyler Gislason

Instructor
Tyler is a third year microbiology student at the University of Manitoba. Since high lschool, Tyler has had a passion for and has excelled at math and science. Upon high school graduation he won the highest mark award in his graduating class for various courses including advanced topics in mathematics. Now at a university level, his passion continues as he studies life sciences. Outside of school Tyler enjoys playing piano, being outdoors and playing board games. Tyler believes that learning math can be a rewarding experience. He strives to create a fun and encouraging environment for students to learn.

Chris Karvelas

Instructor
Chris is in his final year at the University of Manitoba and is pursuing a degree in Data Science. He has alway excelled in mathematics, competing in several math contests in school, but really began to appreciate mathematics in University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports and reading. Chris believes that math can be understood by all and tries his best to customize his teaching style to suit each student's strengths

Jiyoo Noh

Instructor
Jiyoo is a grade 11 student at St. Mary’s Academy. She has always loved math her whole life, and has represented her school in several Canada wide math competitions. She is also part of the STEM club at her school, where she is in charge of leading math competition prep for other students. In her free time, Jiyoo loves to read and spend time with friends and family. Jiyoo believes that math is a very fun and rewarding subject if taught properly, and strives to make math just as fun for her students as it is for her.

Kennedy Kochan

Instructor
Kennedy is a second year student at the University of Manitoba. She is currently working on a degree in mathematics and hopes to pursue a career in education. She has always loved helping others with math, and has had many years of tutoring experience. Outside of school she enjoys singing, playing the piano, and going for long walks with her dog. She believes that anyone can learn to excel at math, and hopes to help others do so in a fun and enjoyable way!
