Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Summerside

Naazish Alladin, MSc.

Naazish is the co-owner at Mathnasium of Summerside. She has a MSc. in Biochemistry and has been working in the field of infertility. She has always had a passion for teaching and has been teaching in different community settings for years. She recognizes that concepts in math can be scary at times but learning math in a way that makes sense can ease this process and students can grow confidence. She hopes that every student that comes at Summerside location learns that math can be fun and learns tools and skills that can be applied in everyday life. When not working, Naazish likes to travel and go for long walks with her daughter

Sufyan

Sufyan is a graduate from University of Alberta holding a Pharmacology degree. He is currently pursuing his Masters at the University of Alberta. He has always enjoyed math since he was little, especially because of the sense of satisfaction you get after solving a difficult problem. In his free time, Sufyan loves matching anime, going to the gym, and hanging out with his friends. Below are some fun facts about Sufyan. Favorite Number and why: 3 because every story can be divided into 3: the beginning, the middle, and the end. Favorite Math Joke: My girlfriend is the square root of -100—a perfect 10, but purely imaginary In five years, I will be: hopefully on my way to becoming a doctor, or otherwise happy with whatever I'm doing. I love Mathnasium because: I get to be a part of the smiles on people's faces when they learn something new.

Muneeba

Muneeba is a third year student at University of Alberta working towards her Bachelor of Education with a Biology major and a Math minor. She has been tutoring kids in math since 2015. Her favourite par of math is using the Pythagorean Theorem. In her free time, she likes to read, do crafts and watch movies. Below are some fun facts about Muneeba. Favorite Number and why: 16 because it is a perfect square and my lucky number. Favorite Math Joke: Why can you never trust a math teacher holding graph paper? They must be plotting something! In five years, I will be: a teacher, teaching classes in junior high or high school. I love Mathnasium because: it aids kids in understanding concepts that they find tough and helps them strengthen their skills.

Sartaj

Sartaj is a second year student at University of Alberta working toward Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. He loves math becuase of the sense of triumph after solving a difficult equation. In his free time, he enjoys, reading, boxing and watching hockey. He enjoys tutoring because he wants to share the love of not just math but learning with others Favorite Number and why: 3 because it is first off prime number and the smallest number in a pythagorean triple (3, 4, 5 triple) Favorite Math Joke: Don't start the conversation with Pi because it will go on forever. In five years, I will be: Ideally studying medicine but who knows what life has planned. I love Mathnasium because: Math is wonderful and Mathnasium allows kids to improve their toolsets and refine their education in math

Rameen

Rameen is a fourth year student at University of Alberta studying biochemistry. She has been tutoring kids for over a year and athout chemistry is her favourite subject, math comes close at second place. In her free time, she enjoys reading (probably fiction), listening to music, and spending time with her friends. You can always catch her with a coffee in hand; she even taught herself latte art!! Favorite Number and why: 3 because third time's a charm! Favorite Math Joke: Why did I divide sin by tan? Just cos. In five years, I will be: Working in the medical field or a biotech company. I love Mathnasium because: Once math clicks for you, it can be really fun and here I get the opportunity to make that happen.

Namya

Namya is a second year student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological sciences and a minor is psychology. She has been tutoring kids since she was in high school and really enjoys teaching and helping others learn new things. Favorite Number and why: 11 because it is the smalled palindrome number and she believe it to be lucky for her. Favorite Math Joke: Question: Why should you never argue with deminals? Answer: Decimals always have a point. In five years, I will be: in medical school I love Mathnasium because: it helps kids understand math concepts through easier and more amusing methods.

Mohammed

Mohammed is a first year engineering student at the University of Alberta. He has always enjoyed math because of its many applications in everything he does, from measuring ingredients for cooking to devising algorithms when he writes code. During his free time, he enjoys watching anime, researching various topics which interest him, playing card games, and volunteering with animals. Favourite number and why: 16, because 4² and 2⁴ are both equal to it. Favorite Math Joke: A Roman walks into a bar, holds up two fingers and says “Five beers please”. In five years, I will be: Enrolled in a program of studies in which I can learn about the inner workings of computers and how to apply that knowledge to create tools which can assist others. I love Mathnasium because: It develops a solid foundation of mathematics in students and builds their confidence in the subject, enabling them to excel in whichever path they choose for their lives. Instead of being taught to memorize the steps to solve certain problems for tests in school, they are taught the critical thinking skills required to break down problems into parts that they can easily work through and solve.

Eshan

Eshan is a first year Business student at the University of Alberta. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, sports, and playing golf. Eshan enjoys tutoring kids and has been a tutor since 2018. Favorite number and why: His favorite number is 9, it has always been the number he wore on his sports jerseys growing up Math Joke: What is a math teachers favourite snake? A pi-thon In five years, he will be pursuing a career in finance or in the science field. I love Mathnasium because: I love teaching and putting smiles on kids' faces when they figure out a new math concept.

Shayaan

Shayaan is a second year student pursuing Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in art and design. He loves math because it is the basis of our universe. There is always a known mathematical formula for any theory that we have about the universe. In his free time, he play an esports title for the University of Alberta known as Apex Legends, and like to watch hockey and basketball, and shop for cars he will never be able to afford. He tries to help others as much as he can and this is another opportunity to help those who are struggling with something that he has knowledge of. Favorite number - 299,792,458 because the speed of light is a universal constant. Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light and nearly every concept in relativity is based around it. Favorite math joke - Do you know what I find odd? 2n+1. In 5 Years, He would be completing his masters in architecture at the University of Calgary I love Mathnasium because it helps kids who are struggling with what is commonly perceived as the hardest school subject so that they can overcome the difficulty and help others along their way.
