Mathnasium #MathTricks: Divisibility (Rule for 9s)
A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 9.
To determine if the number 738 is divisible by 9, we find the sum of its digits. Seven plus three plus eight gives us a final sum of eighteen. Eighteen is divisible by 9. So,
738 is divisible by 9.

Mathnasium has improved our daughter’s confidence and attitude toward math. She’s proud of her accomplishments during her sessions and leaves feeling positive and good about herself. It’s too early to see her progress reflected in her marks, but her attitude has certainly shifted to a more optimistic mood.

My daughter had zero confidence in math and her grades were getting worse and worse. In just 6 months at Mathnasium she has gained her confidence back and is now getting perfect scores on her math tests. She enjoys attending Mathnasium and it's never a fight or an argument to get her to go. We think Mathnasium is an incredible program and we are very grateful that we enrolled her.

Attending Mathnasium has been transformational for our daughter. Previously she was consistently needing to be singled out in class for extra help and now she has gained significant confidence in math! We are so grateful for Mathnasium. Our daughter was two grade levels behind in Math before starting the program and had very little confidence. After joining Mathnasium, she has improved drastically and her confidence level is 100 times better. She looks forward to going to Mathnasium and enjoys working with the wonderful teachers there. They make learning Math fun and encouraging.

I am so glad to have found Mathnasium when I was looking for someone to help my son in his Math. Its really a great place for a child to learn on one on one basis. My child has LD and they were able accomodate him. The teachers really take time to know each of their students and really care. You will see that their passionate of teaching with their plans layed out. not to mention the staff are also knowledgeable they know what they're doing. I and my husband truly trust them. Highly recommended!
