Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

Ash Noureldin - Owner

Ash is the owner of Mathnasium North Regina. Prior to opening his Mathnasium centre, Ash worked as the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Regina & Area, specializing in bringing volunteer based mentoring programs to the youth of Regina, and Southern Saskatchewan. Having seen first hand the tremendous impact that authentic and quality support structures can have on the trajectory of a child, Ash felt the mandate of bringing about another tool to positively impact youth through math, to be a perfect fit.   Having struggled with math as a child, Ash is enthusiastic about helping every child in the community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them v.s. a one size fits all approach. He believes that through the customized learning and unique engagement approach with Mathnasium, that not only can academic outcomes improve significantly, but so can confidence. And with improved confidence levels, the sky truly is the limit when it comes to the potential for any child.  Ash is married with one daughter, and in his spare time, he enjoys doing whatever he is told to do by his wife, Amy. (They also love traveling, volunteering in the community and chasing around their daughter, Farah).

Jonathan Carrier - Centre Director

Jonathan is the Centre Director of Mathnasium North Regina. Before moving into the Mathnasium world, Jonathan worked with Ash over at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Regina & Area, as the Manager of Marketing & Recruitment. His time working with kids, solidified his desire to improve the lives of Regina’s youth, through education and mentorship. Having witnessed the impact that mentorship can have on a child, and the change that occurs in their lives through increased confidence, the opportunity to be involved in the kind of change that Mathnasium offers, was too good to pass up. Plus, he got to work with his good friend Ash again. In his spare time, Jonathan volunteers in his community, builds LEGO & plays video games, and is learning everything he can, about how to be a great step-dad. Jonathan is a big kid at heart and is looking forward to bringing his curiosity and passion to his work with Mathnasium.

Alaina - Lead Instructor

Alaina is currently enrolled at the University of Regina, pursuing her Bachelor of Science! She enjoys learning and teaching about Mathematics, Biology and Mythology. Cody - Instructor

What do you get when you mix a dash of ginger with a hint of Calculus? - Cody! There are only three things that matter in his life: learning mathematics, teaching mathematics, and people. By combining them together, his teaching methods never fail to turn the sometimes terrifyingly formal world of mathematics into the creative landscape it truly is. If there is one thing he will never let you forget, it is that mathematics is a human activity done by real humans, not coldly logical machines. In his free time he enjoys making mathematical animations using the programming language python - and playing with his puppy Felix. He is currently a mathematics student at the

University of Regina, and plans to take his education as far as he can.

Sherry - Instructor

Sherry is mostly retired after over 30 years in the Corporate world. She is a lifelong learner who went back to university and earned a Masters degree in Business Administration shortly before her 60th birthday. In her spare time Sherry loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Malcolm- Instructor

Malcolm was born in Regina and has lived most of his life here. Some of his hobbies include Astronomy in Saskatchewan's dark skies, video games, and speed solving rubik's cubes. In high school, he discovered his love for sciences and math and decided he was going to work in a field involving science or math. After getting to work with the public during 2019, Malcolm learned of his love for teaching others. Volunteering to help with guiding classrooms, cub scouts and other youth groups through the Kalium Observatory here in Regina, has allowed him to learn the best ways to teach kids about science and math.

Dawson- Instructor

Dawson is a 4th year student at the University of Regina currently pursuing a Bachelors in Finance. He is a member of the U of R Cougars Track & Field Team as a sprinter. He's obviously pretty fast.
