Jocelyn Chan

Centre Director

Jocelyn is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Moncton. Prior to opening her Mathnasium centre, Jocelyn worked as a CPA at a few organizations in the region.She has an MBA from Saint Mary's University and a Business Degree major in Finance from St. Francis Xavier University. Born and grown up in Beijng, China, Jocelyn has always valued education and is enthusiastic about bringing good quality learning opportunities to every child in the Greater Moncton community. Understand the important of S.T.E.M learning and seeing so many children struggling with math, Jocelyn is dedicated to help children to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She has built a strong team with years of experience in teaching and tutoring children of all ages. Jocelyn is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the community and make math FUN!

Assistant Center Director/Instructor

I am a retired teacher, having taught mostly Grades 6-8 in my 34 year career. I have always loved Math and have been successful in coming up with a wide variety of strategies to teach a math concept, especially among struggling learners. I lead a very active life and enjoy many sports, traveling, and spending time in nature.

Cristian

My name is Cristian (Mauro) Serrano and I am a grade 12 francophone student who speaks English, French and Spanish. I am originally from Toronto, and my background is Colombian and Chilean. Activities I enjoy practicing in my free time include playing soccer, practicing instruments, and learning and practicing various math concepts!

Maria

I am a grade 12 student and this is my first year as an instructor at Mathnasium. I'm very passionate about math and programming, and in my free time, I enjoy swimming and fencing. I look forward to helping students succeed in math.

Jolene

My name is Jolene and I am a pre-med student at l’Université de Moncton. When I'm not busy studying, I like to cook, learn new languages or spend time with my friends. I have been tutoring at Mathnasium since March 2022, and what I love most about my job is helping kids meet their full potential.

Lina

Hello, my name is Lina. I’m an ambitious and resilient 12th grade student following the International Baccalaureate curriculum. My hobbies include rock climbing, playing the cello, and spending time with my loved ones. I hope to get to know you and to help you in your journey to mastering mathematics!
