Kyle is extremely enthusiastic about helping every child to truly understand math by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. Married with a daughter, Kyle plans to introduce her daughter to the Mathnasium Methods when she gets older.
Larry Martinek, Chief Instructional Officer, Developer of Mathnasium Program
Larry has spent his entire career finding a better way to teach math. From inner city to public schools, to acclaimed magnet schools, to leading private and parochial schools, Larry has served as both a classroom teacher and as an educational consultant. He has designed curriculum, teaching strategies, and teaching materials designed to help students and teachers learn math more effectively. He has trained teachers in the art and science of boosting students' ability to “do” math, thereby increasing students' math scores and feeling of self-worth. Larry is the developer of Mathnasium’s educational program – one of the most comprehensive and innovative curricula ever produced for teaching math.
While Larry is not an Instructor at our Centre, He is a valuable asset we can call on to ask about specific students' scenarios for guidance and advice. This has helped to make visits more productive and enjoyable for many of our students.

At Mathnasium, Marium wishes to grow as a teacher and utilize the effective methods that Mathnasium stands for to teach students math in a way that not only makes sense but stays with them even once they've graduated.
Lois Gadway, Assistant Centre Director
I am proud to be an instructor at Mathnasium Meadowvale. I always enjoyed doing Math throughout my own school years and graduated from the University of Waterloo (B Math) and then York University (B Ed). I continued on to work for the Toronto District Board of Education as a classroom teacher for 26 years teaching from Kindergarten to Grade Four. I am officially retired from teaching as of September 1 2018 but I want to continue learning and teaching and teaching Math the Mathnasium way seems very effective to me. Outside of Mathnasium, I enjoy volunteering at a Food Bank, reading, walking, doing crossword puzzles, and meeting up with friends for a coffee.

He hopes his outsider’s perspective will allow him and students to discover together this strange and beautiful thing we call math. Outside of Mathnasium, he loves reading, drawing, baking, and—when it’s warm—walking in the woods to spot animals and fungi.
