Centre Hours During Victoria Day Long Weekend

We will be open regular hours (12-4) on Saturday May 18 during the upcoming Victoria Day long weekend, however we will be closed on the Victoria Day holiday on Monday May 20.
Here is a bit of trivia from Wikipedia:
Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday preceding May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. As such, it is the Monday between the 18th to the 24th inclusive, and thus is always the penultimate Monday of May. The date is simultaneously that on which the current Canadian sovereign's official birthday is recognized. It is sometimes informally considered the beginning of the summer season in Canada.
The holiday has been observed in Canada since at least 1845, originally falling on Victoria's actual birthday (May 24, 1819). It continues to be celebrated in various fashions across the country; the holiday has always been a distinctly Canadian observance.

We absolutely LOVE Mathnasium! Children not only improve in math, but their confidence also grows exponentially here. What really amazes me is how excited the kids are to go—no arguments, no resistance. In fact, the only challenge is sometimes getting them to leave at the end of the session!
The instructors are incredibly supportive, patient, and clearly know how to connect with kids. The program is well-structured but also fun, and it’s been amazing to watch children go from feeling unsure about math to actually enjoying it.
I can’t recommend Mathnasium enough. It’s made such a positive difference!

Markham Mathnasium is ideal for students in lower grades, higher grades, and, any grade in between; Markham Mathnasium is ideal for stronger students and weaker students; Markham Mathnasium is a great experience for families that enjoy math and families that do not.
I highly recommend Markham Mathnasium because of the staff that works with the students to develop positive attitude towards math, which is the first step to a successful school year in math!!

Staff shared compassionate support and solid instruction that enabled our highschool student to persevere and maintain her interest and enjoyment in Math despite a difficult experience in class. The staff helped her understand her school work and to prepare for the exam.
She was delighted with the final results and also enjoyed seeing how her Math skills helped with success in Science.

Our daughter started in Grade 9 and will continue through her secondary schooling. She is grateful that she can complete Mathnasium tasks as well as get assistance with her Grade 10 Math school work. She noted that the learning from her Mathnasium sessions also helped her in Science class. Charley, Vanessha and the Math tutors are extremely supportive and responsive to student needs.

The owner and instructors at Mathnasium Markham put in extra efforts to build relationship with their students. Combining with the reward program, the overall experience is enjoyable to the students.

Mathnasium is a great place for kids of all ages! I enrolled my son last year and this is his second year! Every day, he is eager to go to class and after class, he is very excited to tell us what he did. I especially love how enthusiastic and patient the teachers are. Furthermore they are very knowledgeable and are always there to answer my son’s questions. The classroom is very clean, spacious and tidy. The tutors at Mathnasium Markham are very helpful to my daughter who needs a little extra help with her Grade 12 Calculus. She is happy with her tutors and looks forward to going to her sessions. The results are evident in her grades. There has been a definite improvement in her test scores. Scheduling sessions has been very easy. The staff are always wonderful and easy to talk to. Thank you Mathnasium Markham for making math more enjoyable for my daughter and for being a lifesaver for me!

My teen got into the car after one of her Mathnasium sessions and said, “I’m so proud of myself. I finally understand it” about a Math concept that had challenged her for years. The confidence that resulted from this mastery made her want to solidify other Math concepts. She looks forward to her sessions. As a parent and an educator, I recognize the enthusiasm shared by Charley and her amazing team. Even though my child is achieving well in Math at school, we will continue with Mathnasium due to its solid Math instruction.

My son has been enrolling in the Mathnasium program for a few years by now. He really likes the atmosphere at the center. The rewarding program definitely helps to keep him motivated. We have noticed a major improvements to his understanding of Math concepts. It has been taking longer than we hoped for him to catch up with his school grade level, but it's finally happening this year and we start to see big improvements to his marks at school.

The Mathnasium program has done wonder for my son's journey in learning math. He hasn't shown much interest in mastering all the math skills at school. The Mathnasium program supplements the school program to make sure he has mastered all the mathematic concepts at each grade level. We're expecting him to catch up with his current grade level within the next few months. He's planning to stay on the program to potentially get ahead of his grade level at school.

Since starting at mathnasium our child has progressed quite quickly in math and has a better understanding of basic concepts that she had missed while doing online schooling during the pandemic. It has been a relief watching her finally catch up to her peers. Love how responsive staff are to the needs of the child and helping them to do well, and changing course when needed.

It's really great to see Tiffany improves continually over the years. This is definitely solid evident that Mathnasium did a terrific job building up her foundations!
This is not only reflecting on her Mathnasium check ups, same for her Math class in school. From lagging behind for years, to being able to keep getting decent average on her grade 11 math. This is absolutely a very strong sign that all the hard works are paying off!

Though Tiffany got good result on her re-assessment earlier, I was still a bit concern as it was at gr 7. Three grades lower than her current grade!
However, the sign I've patiently waiting finally shows up. A few of her recent tests in school gave me the confident about her improvement. One close to 70, then one close to 90, then most recent one back to 70-80 range. One may be lucky, two...let's wait a bit and see, three...that's very likely!
Up and down is okay, more important is her being able to perform ok/well at her grade consistently. So definitely her hard work at Mathnasium is paying off.
I can see she still has a long way to go. But with Mathnasium's help keep building up her foundation bit by bit, she will be much more ready for the challenges ahead.

Highly recommended for children who need some additional support in Math. Even for children not particularly fond of Math, the Mathnasium program at Unionville provides a highly engaging and fun environment to keep children coming back to practice their Math skills. The management team has put in a lot of efforts to equip the center to keep students and their staff safe during COVID-19.

Harleen has been doing really well in school work as well. Last week her teacher explained something in math class. No other student got it but harleen was able to explain it back to her class. Her teacher was really proud. The best part is that she was able to follow everything taught via online class. Enrolling Harleeen into Mathnasium was the best decision i made.

My daughter enjoys the atmosphere at the Markham location. She is happy to go to math and often is happy to discuss her progress with me. She likes the star program (which is a great motivator for her). There is never a day that I feel I am dragging her to math. Thank you.

Mathnasium Markham offers a great rewarding program that motivates kids to improve their Math skills and it is working very well. My son has been improving in his confident and skills in Math. Highly recommended!

My 12 year old has ADHD and the staff at Mathnasium have really understood his unique needs. He loves to attend and feels pride in completing the work assigned. The staff understand his limitations and provide guidance accordingly. I am thrilled to have found this place!
