Alana

Centre Director

Alana has Diplomas in Sports Science and Communications from Douglas College. She graduated from Okanagan Mission Secondary School in 2008. She worked as Assistant Centre Director at Mathnasium Langley for 4 years before opening Mathnasium Kelowna in February 2021. She loves the interactions with the students and really enjoys seeing them blossom in self-confidence when they actually begin to understand math. For her, Mathnasium offers the perfect fit between learning and fun.

Lindsay

Assistant Centre Director & Lead Math Instructor

Lindsay joined Mathnasium in April 2021. She holds an Elementary Education degree from UBCO and has over 10 years of tutoring experience. Lindsay enjoys working at Mathnasium because the curriculum builds math skills in a way that isn't possible in the classroom and has long-lasting effects on students' understanding and confidence!

Poppy

Math Instructor

Poppy is an engineering graduate from UBCO. She loves teaching math to all different levels of students. What she likes most about working at Mathnasium is being a part of a team that works to build math skills in children. She really enjoys spending time with the kids in the centre. She joined our team in May 2021.

Surya

Math Instructor

Surya is working on his Applied Sciences degree at UBCO and joined our team in January 2022. Surya likes working at Mathnasium because it feels like a family environment and he really enjoys getting to know the students.

Charlene

Elementary Math Instructor

Charlene joined our team in October 2022.

Lavender

Online Math Instructor

Lavender has a Bachelor of Technology in Forensic Science and continues her studies at SFU. She loves encouraging girls especially to pursue their math passion with joy. She joined our online team in August 2022.

Sandi

Online Math Instructor

Sandi graduated with an IB certificate in Math and Chemistry and now studies science at SFU with the goal to become a Secondary Science teacher. "I like seeing the students look forward to playing math games and having fun while learning. Mathnasium's way of teaching encourages students to really know the math, rather than just memorizing it." She joined our online team in January 2020.
