Carlos Patricio, Owner/Centre Director
Carlos received his Bachelor in Computer and Electrical Engineering in 2001. Upon graduation he worked as a consultant in the mining industry by designing instrumentation and control systems. After a few years working as a consultant, Carlos decided to pursue his interest in Software Development which he still works on. Math and teaching has always been a passion for Carlos and so his decision to be part of the Mathnasium family came very naturally to him.
Thomas Patricio, Owner/Head Instructor Director
Thomas Received his Bachelor in Applied Science from the University of Toronto in 2001. He has been teaching math since 2000. Thomas believes that the way to learn how to think and to be able to apporach everyday problems logically is through math, which is reflected in his teaching style.
Alice Bishop, Assistant Centre Director
Alice received her Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2017 and worked as a primary school teacher in London, UK, for two years before relocating to Toronto. She graduated from Coventry University in 2015 after studying French and English, and spent the next year teaching English and tutoring in Paris. Alice has a passion for teaching and loves to help her students make sense of maths. Alice likes to cook, read, and be outdoors!
Sadaf, Lead Instructor
Sadaf is an Ontario Certified Teacher and received her Bachelor of Education from York University in 2018. She graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Mathematics and Biology. She holds an extensive repertoire of tutoring and ongoing classroom experience as a long-term occasional teacher with the local school board. Sadaf uses her passion and enthusiasm to help math make sense to students of all age groups.
Mike, Lead Instructor
Mike is a recent graduate from the University of Queens where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Philosophy. He is now studying to become an actuary. As someone who loves math and is looking to make a career out of it, Mike loves sharing his knowledge with students that are looking for guidance, or simply looking to get ahead. In his spare time, Mike enjoys playing video games and hanging out with friends.
Steve, Lead Instructor
Connor is a student at Ryerson University studying Chemical Engineering. Connor has always had a love of math, science, and all things a little 'nerdy' so becoming an instructor at Mathnasium came naturally to him. Connor has a passion for curiosity and learning and hopes that he can make others more curious about math as well. In his free time Connor enjoys reading, playing strategy games, and relaxing with his friends.
Rabia is an Engineering Science candidate at the University of Toronto. Growing up, Rabia has always had a passion for taking on challenges and solving problems. Having worked as a YMCA camp counselor, Rabia also has experience working with young children. She is passionate about empowering young people to pursue careers in STEM.
Sohini is currently pursuing her Masters in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering in India and there she used teach Math and English to underprivileged kids in schools. She loves interacting with kids and is very passionate about helping her students understand more about the world with science and math.
Aldous is a part-qualified actuary with a Master of Science in Actuarial Science and a Master of Business Administration. Prior to joining Mathnasium, he has worked as an actuarial analyst in Asia, Europe, and North America. With his tutoring experience and volunteering experiences at orphanages, it was natural for him to become an instructor at Mathnasium to share his love of mathematics with the next generation. He is also an avid reader, a coder, and a guitar player.
