Taya Maranic

Taya Maranic

Instructor
Taya is a Brock University student currently completing her second year of Teacher’s College. She spent four years achieving her Mathematics degree in her undergraduate program at Brock University and has thorough knowledge on the subject matter ranging from elementary to the secondary school level. Having been enrolled in various mathematics courses and education courses, she has also acquired various teaching strategies specifically in this subject matter that promotes student creativity and adapts various mathematical concepts in a manner that students can understand best.

Ashley Lovnicki

Instructor
Ashley is in her final year of the Concurrent Education program at Brock University where she has completed her Bachelor of Science Honours with a major in Mathematics, and is currently in the Teacher Education Program with qualifications to teach Mathematics and Science/Biology at the high school level. She is passionate about math education, and plans to pursue a Masters of Education after her graduation with a focus on math education. She has experience volunteering in both elementary and secondary schools for NCDSB and HWCDSB. In her free time Ashley enjoys baking and going on hikes along the Bruce Trail.

Kartina Urrego

Instructor
Katrina is currently in her third year at the University of Toronto where she is studying languages and mathematics. She is working towards becoming a french and math teacher. She enjoys explaining concepts to others and allowing them the opportunity to try solving the problem before going through the steps together. Katrina enjoys solving math problems as it is satisfying working towards the correct answer. She hopes to help students build their skills in math and to show them that solving math questions can actually be fun! In her free-time, Katrina enjoys drawing, arts and crafts, cooking, and playing games.

Lauren Mckay

Instructor
Lauren is in her second year of her undergrad at McMaster University, in Honours Actuarial and Financial Math. She plans to become a Qualified Actuary once graduated. Her passion and experience in many math courses makes her motivated to help others become confident in their mathematically abilities. In her free time Lauren enjoys working out and camping.
