Hima Dasan

Owner & Centre Director
Hima is a Co-owner and Centre Director at Mathnasium of Evanston. She is a Law graduate. In addition to this, she also has a Bachelors degree in Zoology. She had a short professional stint as she had to quit her law career early to be with her growing kids, which was necessary because her family moved from countries to countries until they called Calgary home. Hima too, like her husband Jyoti understands the importance of Math in a child's life and wants to contribute to assist them achieve their maximum potential.

Anisse Guzzardi

Assistant Centre Director / Lead Instructor
Anissé, a dedicated pre-service teacher at the University of Calgary, is currently completing the Bachelor of Education Five-Year Concurrent Degree Stream, with a focus on Secondary Mathematics. Fueled by her passion for teaching math, Anissé embraces the role of Assistant Centre Director as a gateway to inspire young minds in making math engaging and accessible for all students. Moreover, Anissé embraces the opportunity to foster a love for learning. Beyond her mathematical pursuits, Anissé finds joy in volunteering and giving back to her community, conquering hiking trails and camping in the great outdoors, and nurturing her desire to explore and travel the world. Anissé is not only shaping futures in the classroom, but is also appreciative of the diverse experiences that will enrich her understanding of education and life.

Youssef Samaan

Youssef, an international student originally from Dubai, is currently in his third year pursuing a degree in computer science at the University of Calgary. His lifelong fascination with mathematics began in early childhood and has persisted throughout his academic journey, extending from his school years to his university education. Driven by an unwavering passion for mathematics, Youssef aspires to share his love for the subject with others, hoping to instill in them the same enjoyment and enthusiasm he has experienced.

Kristin Filipetto

Instructor
Kristin is a U of C student pursuing a career as a high school mathematics teacher. She is currently enrolled in the concurrent program, has finished her mathematics degree portion, and is now completing her education degree. Kristin has always liked math in school, and she has always enjoyed helping others understand mathematical concepts. She has a passion for teaching. In her free time, Kristin enjoys reading, playing basketball and other sports, and volunteering at her church youth group.

Robinson is a Professional Geologist with special interest in mathematics, physics and numerical modelling. He is passionate about teaching, mentoring & developing the younger generation through mathematics and helping them develop problem-solving skills. He strives to make mathematics and logical reasoning fun for students and has fulfillment observing the excitement when they finally solve mathematical riddles! He spends his free time with family, photography & travelling.
