Parmeet Chugh, Owner/Centre Director
Parmeet is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of East Regina. Prior to opening her Mathnasium centre, Parmeet has an experience of over 10 years as a corporate trainer and recruiter. She is a Commerce Graduate with specialization in Maths and Accounting. Parmeet carries vast bucket of operations, training and counselling experience with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance, financial and telecommunication industry. Parmeet is enthusiastic about helping every child in the community of Regina to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She believes in the true intention of Mathnasium vision and is committed in making the Mathnasium Method a part of every child's life, a method that makes sense, makes math fun and easy.
Parmeet is married with 2 children, spending time with family is her favourite pass time. She enjoys travelling, cooking and anything that gives her a reason to be with her loved ones.
Tushar Chugh, Owner/Centre Director
Tushar is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of East Regina. He leads the operations and client management for the centre apart from imparting the Mathnasium magic to Kids. Tushar has Post Graduate Degree in Management and has a vast experinece of operations, sales and leadership in varied industries like Insurance, Finance and Telecommunications. Having served at various leadership positons for some of the best Canadian companies Tushar has extensive leadership training, which helps him in the crucial role as Owner/ Centre Director at Mathnasium. Tushar believes that a good education allows students to achieve their maximum potential in life, and since Mathnasium allows for kids to learn math in a unique and fun way, it’s a perfect match!
Tushar is married with 2 kids and understands what it means to raise kids with strong human values and even stonger educational foundation. Hence he spends a good amount of his time with his kids helping them be a better person.
Kara, Lead Math Instructor
Kara is University of Regina student currently pursuing education with a major in secondary mathematics. She aims to be a high school math teacher. Teaching comes naturally for her, she comes from a family of teachers and believes teaching is not just interaction of 2 people but a sense of contentment to see kids learn. She moved to Regina from a small town and enjoys being a part of this city. She is excited to teach children the Mathnasium Way, the way math make sense to them.
Kara also has a passion for athletics such as volleyball and badminton. In the future she hopes to coach these sports. In her free time, she is usually found studying for school or out running. Her favorite part about being at Mathnasium is seeing the smiles on the students faces when they learn something new.
Jahnvi, Lead Math Instructor
Jahnvi is a final year university student, majoring in biochemistry and psychology. She loves to sing and play the guitar. She has been a tutor for 4 years now, and has taught students of all ages. She believes that Math is an extremely fun subject, but only if understood properly and thus, she strives to establish a good mathematical foundation in her students. Apart from the subject, she loves to inculcate confidence and a positive outlook in her students, while establishing a personal connection with them.
Reena is passionate about teaching and have more than 5 years of teaching experience. She has a post graduate degree in Electronic Systems Engineering. She enjoys teaching and Mathematics has always been her favourite subject. She strongly believe teachers play very responsible roles in the society to prepare educated and capable individuals to make difference in the society. Badminton is one of her favourite sports.
Juan has got a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. As passionate as he is for Science, Math comes naturally to him. He loves to infuse his passion to kids and really enjoy teaching Math. In his words “I believe that a good understanding in math helps in brain development to easily understand and learn new topics even if they are not directly related to math”. He is an avid soccer fan and loves to play soccer and electric guitar in his free time.
Nastaran, Math Instructor
Nastaran is Physics major currently pursuing Masters in University of Regina, Nastaran brings multiple years of teaching experience where she has been tutoring Math to both elementary and high school students. She enjoys working with kids & youth as well as assisting them to realize the joy of learning and bringing smiles to their face. As per her, that gives her a sense of achievement.
She believes every problem has different solutions and our responsibility is to teach the students how to find the best one.
Minhal, Math Instructor
Minhal is a fourth-year psychology student at the University of Regina. Despite being a math tutor, she never enjoyed math until she went into high school, when she learnt how to solve math problems in a way she could understand, and gained confidence in herself. Now, math is one of her favourite subjects! Minhal hopes to instil the same kind of confidence in younger children who are struggling with math, and demonstrates this with previous math tutoring experience. Outside of math, her hobbies including creative writing and going on long runs while listening to her favourite songs.
Isaac, Math Instructor
Isaac is a University of Saskatchewan student currently studying Engineering. He has an interest in Physics, and understands well the utility of having strong mathematical skills. While he uses mathematics regularly in Engineering, he also knows that strong math skills go beyond just calculations. He believes that by learning mathematics, students can practice mental diligence, and learn useful problem-solving skills that can aid in any aspect of life. Some of his hobbies are astronomy and playing disc golf.
Victoria, Math Instructor
Victoria is a first-year university student at the University of Regina. She loves to participate in sports of all kinds and has played soccer for 14 years and led her Provincial Champion team as Captain to compete at Canadian Nationals for 5 consecutive years. She is currently pursuing a teaching degree in secondary mathematics. She enjoys teaching others and really wants to make a difference in educating others. Victoria has learnt how to lead a team successfully through the good and bad and knows how to inspire others to learn and grow to be stronger and better. She looks forward to using her knowledge as a leader and a student to connect with her students on many different levels.
