Math Instructor:

Mathnasium of East Regina is a part of an internationally recognized institute and first Mathnasium Math Centre due to open Early March with aim to cater students throughout the year as a supplemental help in improving Math skills.

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Math Instructors for immediate openings where Instructors will apply the teaching methods that are presented during training. On-going priceless training will be provided to the successful candidate(s).

This is currently a part time position with a potential of Full time depending on needs of the business and individual’s performance. The position will mostly be In centre but occasionally can be based remotely for online sessions.


·       Teaching Math to students between Grade 1 - 12 or Just Elementary using the Mathnasium Method®

·       Being Energetic and Creative while teaching new concepts to students.

·       Occasional interaction with parents (when needed).

·       Relevant tasks related to teaching students at the Learning Centre including administrative assistance and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

·       Exceptional Math skills (an in-house Assessment will be taken).

·       Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Ability to teach students in upper level high-school math courses (Grades 1-12)

·       Should be able to motivate students to learn and to work on new concepts while maintaining a positive         environment.

·       Previous experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc) is a plus.

·       University graduate or university student from a program with strong emphasis on Math.

Hours of Operations

·       Mon - Thu: 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM

·       Sat : 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

·       Candidate should be available atleast 20 hours a week

We provide training on our proprietary Mathnasium method helping our employees excel in Math Instruction.

Administrative Assisstant:

We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter interested in Joining as Administrative Assistant Mathnasium. This position Mathanasium Learning Centre is a key liaison between Centre Director/ Centre Manager & Instructors and Instructors & Students. The position is critical for smooth operations on day to day basis and make sure the Instructors have all tools and supplies to do their task. Main responsibilities for the position are outlined below:

  • Coordinate schedule for Instructors as per student roster.
  • Help Centre Director with student roster.
  • Follow up with potential client/student leads to set appointment.
  • Prepare and send monthly reports to parents.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Maintain and update student binder.
  • Ensure Instructor and student feedback is passed over to Centre Director.
  • Ensure planning, scheduling and execution of monthly meetings and trainings.
  • Prepare minutes of the meeting.
  • Ensure adherence to cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
  • Greet and orient walk-in clients/ students and refer them to Centre Director.
  • Perform all necessary daily clerical tasks.

Qualification and Experience

  • Computer Literate and proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Basis telephone etiquettes to greet and answer all questions on phone.
  • Min 2 years’ experience as administrative assistant.
  • Exceptional clerical skills with strong business acumen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience required.

Centre Director

The Mathnasium Center Director is responsible for successfully managing the educational, customer, administrative, sales, and employee aspects of a Mathnasium Learning Center. In synopsis, they are responsible for the educational success of every student, parent satisfaction and loyalty, lead conversion and sales, as well as, the selection, training, and development of employees to fulfill center staffing needs. Center Directors are capable of effectively balancing educational duties, such as administering assessments and diagnosing student learning gaps, administrative duties, such as creating student binders and keeping the center clean, sales duties, such as responding to leads and successfully enrolling customers, and employee development/manager duties, such as proper scheduling and providing on the job training/coaching. Center Directors effectively cultivate talent and delegate tasks and duties properly to team members to ensure the center is running efficiently. The Mathnasium Center Director operates the day-today functions of a center and is the highest level of leadership in the center assuming responsibility for providing service to students and parents, growing enrollments, and effectively leading and managing the center team. Below is the outlined Centre director role:

Center Principals, Educational Experts, & Administrators: -

  • Run the day-to-day operations and manage all aspects of the center ensuring it is running efficiently.  
  • Assume accountability and responsibility to ensure every student is properly diagnosed, prescribed an effective learning plan, and progress through their plan to achieve educational success.

Relationship Builders, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Executives:

  • Successfully sell the Mathnasium program, build relationships with parents, and achieve optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Build relationships with potential customers, parents, guardians, and students to sell the Mathnasium program and ensure exceptional customer service/satisfaction.

Leaders, Motivators, and Talent Managers:

  • Screen, hire, train, motivate and develop employees to effectively staff the center for maximum student engagement and efficiency.

Business, Office, and Facilities Managers:

  • Take accountability of the overall center performance, profitability, and success as it relates to lead conversion and enrollments.
  • Keep track and monitor center key performance indicators.
  • Manage and process payroll on timely basis.

Lead Generation:

  • Promote and organize social events, marketing events and PR activities within community.
  • Update the website to ensure center hours are correct, program offerings are accurate, the employment tab is maintained, center news is shared and answers basic questions for customers.
  • Request parents/customers to review the business online using yelp, google, and/or listen360

 Lead Conversion:

  • Be available and respond promptly to leads who inquire about Mathnasium services
  • Provide exceptional customer service to leads through professional conduct, answering any and all questions, and directing the lead to begin an enrollment conversation.

Right Materials:

  • Properly choose assessments to assess learning gaps for students who are enrolling to the program.
  • Effectively administer and evaluate assessments to identify learning gaps, create learning plans, understand student thinking, assign appropriate curriculum, and modify session plans.

Qualification/ Skills required:

  • Min 2 years’ experience required in managing/ leading a profit center offering services.
  • Min Bachelor’s Degree required in Business/Office management or related field.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS office suite.
  • 2-year experience required in leading a team delivering exceptional client service.
  • Excellent communication and strong business acumen required.

Additional requirement:  

  • Experience in marketing will be added advantage.
  • Experience in education related service will be added advantage.
