Mathnasium Classes Moving Online

After much consideration, and with the government's announcement to shut down more parts of the province, Mathnasium of Don Mills has decided to close our doors for in-person learning effective Monday, December 14 and until further notice.
The good news is that, this time around, we are prepared to serve you and your families online through Mathnasium@home!
Over the past eight months we have been working hard to serve our online community, and our online families are seeing great results. Mathnasium@home is an amazing way to engage your child and keep the momentum of learning going strong through the Winter Break and into the New Year.
For the remainder of December, operating hours and days for Mathnasium@home will be:
Monday - Thursday: 4 - 8 pm
Sunday: 12 - 4 pm
Please note that we will not be operating classes from December 24-26 and on December 31.
We expect to extend the Mathnasium@home schedule to include Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm beginning in January 2021. We will open up Saturday bookings once this has been confirmed.

All their instructors are excellent to work with (but a big shout out to Christine and Jeff Gaffen). She has been a huge help to our son.

My son's 1st session with Mathnasium (Don Mills location) was back in Sept. 2021 and here we are in Feb. 2023 & still going strong. Of course there are days when my son doesn't want to go but that's just human nature. I'd definitely recommend it to friends as I already have! If I didn't think it worked, I wouldn't waste our time and money! It's an investment worth making as mathematics is an important subject and the earlier the building blocks are put in place, the better it is for the student. At Mathnasium, they will test your child's knowledge and start from where the knowledge is lacking & build from there which is the key to learning math.

My kids love attending Mathnasium, and have learned so much. They thrive on the individual attention, as well as the fun challenges. Mathnasium is unique in that they allow kids to bring in their homework and help them work through it- which helps empower the student themselves, as well as contributing to academic success.
The individual lesson plans have helped address both of my children’s learning needs, so that they can fill in previous gaps, as well as continue to be challenged on more advanced concepts.
Overall, we are very happy with the program.

My son has had great success working with the math tutors at the Don Mills location - both during middle school and now grade 11. The staff are attentive and very helpful. Jeff in management is not only readily available, he is knowledgable and very well organized with follow up, including progress reports. I highly recommend bringing your student to this location for math assistance, it has been the missing key to improving my son's grades.

My son, Oscar has been making strides in mathematics through the support of Mathnasium. The instructors help teach him different strategies and strengthen his math knowledge. He is quickly building his confidence in math. The instructors are wonderful. Jeff is very organized and supportive for each and every Mathlete’s journey! Our experience is an 11/10! Superb program! Jeff was very patient and informative. I appreciated the very detailed assessments we received and proposed learning plans. The staff are also very courteous and always ready to greet us when we arrive. The kids seem to respond to the teaching team very well. We signed up with the purpose of enrichment over the summer and I haven't had to drag the kids to a session! They happily fall into the routine and tell me about the prizes they are working towards. Your online portal is also quite easy to use. The session reminders are helpful. Is there a way to know how many sessions are left in our package?

I recently recommended Mathenasium to a friend for a variety of reasons:
The teaching methods are highly effective, while still being well received by my 9 year old who likes the 1:1 learning and the incentive program (stars that translate into gift certificates).
The fact that we can get good results without it being accompanied by homework is important to us as it leaves time for school work and extra curricular activities.
We’ve found the staff highly responsive to requests to focus on specific topics when needed.
I really appreciate how seamlessly it fits into our schedule (easy to book, modify times and availability to fit any schedule). Offered online, it doesn’t necessitate dropping everything to shuttle kids back and forth.
The teachers have been great!!

Mathasium has been a great experience for our family. Jeff has been attentive and consultive creating a learning plan for our son which has allowed him to be successful. The instructors have all been great. Our son was recently asked on which one he preferred, his answer was he couldn't make a choice as they were all great.

What an engaging program! Mathnasium assesses your child’s knowledge in math and starts them at a comfortable level. Great motivation and rewards system! Progress reports are fantastic and allow parents to see their child’s progression. They give parents a good understanding of what skills their child has mastered, what they are currently working on and what’s up next. Our son is enjoying the program so much, he wishes he had more math sessions per week! We can’t say enough good things about the program. The team at Mathnasium Don Mills is fantastic. We’re grateful for the help towards closing our son’s learning gaps in math. It’s boosted his confidence and has been such a positive overall experience!

I can't recommend Mathnasium enough for your child! I noticed my kids struggling with Math in Grades 6 and 7. Instructors at Mathnasium helped them to learn Math concepts through structured and individualized lessons. My kids overcame their Math anxiety and began to excel at school. Now that one of my kids is in university, I can really see how the concepts learned at Mathnasium are paying off. I had to make sacrifices to afford it, but it was an investment in my kids' futures and it was worth every penny. The instructors and Jeff are amazing at what they do and I am grateful to them for their dedication and hard work.

Mathnasium @ Don Mills is truly a 10/10!!! It’s the right fit for us as my 10-yr-old son looks forward to his sessions. He has mastered many lessons & continues to grow & expand his mathematical knowledge with every class he takes.
The staff make learning & grasping concepts fun & even have their students earn prizes! Of course that is an appealing factor as my son gets so excited when he gets to select his prize! It also makes him want to work harder & smarter to get to that prize as it makes him feel rewarded & that alone is a confidence booster!

With the early closure of schools back in 2020 and the back and forth shifting to on line learning since then, I can definitely say my kids have not fallen behind in math thanks particularly to Mathnasium. Jeff at Mathnasium reached out as soon as we submitted an inquiry online. He was very thorough in his questions to ensure he could help my daughter succeed. After the initial assessment, they quickly set up a learning plan for my daughter to get back to her grade level and homework support. The attentiveness and caring from the school I have received has exceeded my expectations. Surprisingly, my daughter has even said, "mom, I can't miss Mathnasium" when I've tried to book an event when she has her sessions scheduled. We are all pleased.

Positive all around. Great response when we ask to tailor lessons for upcoming tests, or other. Instructors have been very good and the incentive program (stars for gift certificates) has been very effective. We’ve also loved online.
