Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Collingwood

Kris

Kris is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Collingwood. First and foremost she is a mother of a beautiful daughter who will be starting her post-secondary education. Kris is an explorer who spent time in many different parts of the world experiencing different cultures and expanding her horizon. She has many years of experience in the Customer Service industry and comes highly recommended by her previous employers. She is passionate and dedicated to helping others and spends time volunteering with local SUCCESS and Mosaic BC organizations.

Mary

Mary is currently majoring in Mathematics at Langara College and plans to further her studies at UBC in the future. She brings a very enlightening environment to kids of all ages, due to volunteering at Broadway Church for the pas couple of years. As well as being a part of a Hip-Hop based dance team for her high school years, she has developed many leadership skills, fueling her love of teaching and resulting in her goal of becoming a teacher one day. Mary also has a strong passion for Mathematics due to her experience at the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences(PIMS) Diversity in Mathematics Day Camp, inspiring her to pursue mathematics, and to give back to the next generation the same unconditional kindness she has received in her life.

Amie

Amie is a graduate mathematics major from UBC and is passionate about sharing her love for mathematics and teaching. She understands the importance for student to build a strong mathematical foundation and how much that benefits their education journey. She has had past tutoring experience before as a volunteer school tutor for math and science and finds joy in helping others learn and grow.

Anh

Anh is currently a Science student at the Simon Fraser University. She has always been inspired by her Math teachers to explore more about the subject and she also wishes to share this passion with other younger students. She hopes all the students can be confident in Math and have fun learning it.

Crystal

Crystal is currently a student in the faculty of science at UBC. Her previous experiences of volunteering for after-school programs at elementary schools influenced her to continue working with children. She understands how it feels to struggle in math and would like to help children overcome these struggles.

Jacob

Jacob Pham is a dedicated math instructor and former lab technician for Bureau Veritas, bringing a unique blend of scientific expertise and educational passion. Currently in his fourth year of the science program at SFU, Jacob finds purpose in nurturing young minds and helping them unlock their full mathematical potential

Sahil

Sahil is currently a Computing Science major and a Math minor student at Simon Fraser University. His interest and passion for coding makes him stay focused to achieve his goal of becoming an excellent asset at a tech company. His love for kids can be seen with outstanding communication skills with our students.

Gui

A computer scientist with a huge love for teaching and a long road cultivating love for math in students. With his energetic and mathematic love, he shares his knowledge and experience with anyone interested.
