Kayla Myers

Kayla Myers

Centre Director
Kayla comes to us after working as an Education Assistant in the Abbotsford School District. She loves connecting with each student and building their love for math by helping them understand why math works the way it does. She joined the team in May 2023. When she's not helping students or parents at Mathnasium, you'll find her enjoying the sunny outdoors. Say Hi if you see her walking somewhere!

Arielle

Math Instructor
Arielle loves math and looks forward to having a career as a child psychologist. She enjoys teaching at Mathnasium because it is great practice for her future. "The Mathnasium method of teaching seems so much simpler than any other way I've ever learned math!" In her free time, she enjoys being a part of her school's curling team! She joined our team in November 2023.

Joseph

Math Instructor
Joseph is studying at UFV with plans to become a classroom teacher. "It feels satisfying working with a student that is struggling and seeing them blaze through a page after receiving my help!" In his spare time, he likes to play volleyball and video games. He joined our team in January 2024.

Justice

Math Instructor
Justice is planning to go to BCIT for software engineering. He enjoys helping kids understand and find a love for math. When he's not instructing at Mathnasium he enjoys coding video games and reading books. He joined our team in February 2024.

Mariya

Lead Online Instructor
Mariya has B.A. in Psychology from SFU. She fills Mathnasium with positivity, laughter and lots of "ah ha!" moments. She joined us in September 2017 and began leading our Digital Learning Team in January 2020. Outside of work you'll find her either listening to the newest Disney sound track or binge watching Harry Potter (again!) Her office door at our Langley centre is always open, come say hi!

Sandi

Online Math Instructor
Sandi graduated with an IB certificate in Math and Chemistry and now studies science at SFU with the goal to become a Secondary Science teacher. "I like seeing the students look forward to playing math games and having fun while learning. Mathnasium's way of teaching encourages students to really know the math, rather than just memorizing it." She joined our online team in January 2020.

Lavender

Online Math Instructor
Lavender has a Bachelor of Technology in Forensic Science and continues her studies at SFU. She loves encouraging girls especially to pursue their math passion with joy. She joined our online team in August 2022.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
