We welcome interested individuals to submit applications and cover letters as detailed below. The Social Media position is available immediately. We are considering math instructors for immediate on-call and ongoing permanent/part-time. We will consider Grade  11 and 12 students as Instructor Interns to supplement the team.


At Mathnasium, we specialize in just one thing, teaching math in a way that makes sense to kids. The learning center is a fun and supportive environment, encouraging students at all skill levels. There are a number of positions for which we are currently accepting applications:

 Social Media Coordinator:

Mathnasium of Cambridge is an exciting and growing math learning centre for students in grades 2 – 12. The Social Media Coordinator wil be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales. Position could be part-time or full-time. Make a case for why we should hire you!

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Mathnasium Cambridge’s social media strategy, in collaboration with owners
  • Implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Define most important social media KPI’s
  • Manage and oversee social media content, including strong calls to action, development of original content use of available franchisor creative material
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Provide constructive feedback

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • High ethical standards, accountability, and integrity
  • Self-managed with excellent multitasking and time-management skills
  • A team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Successful applicant must provide a ‘clear’ RCMP security check.

Math Instructor:

Required Qualifications:

  • Energetic and confident personality
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional math skills through Secondary School level (limited space available for Elementary specialists)
  • Ability to professionally interact with students and parents

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach students in upper level high school math courses
  • Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students
  • Aged 18 years or older 

 Hours may vary, but could include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday - Thursday and Saturday during the day, approximately 8 - 16 hours per week (flexible). All candidates must successfully pass a math literacy test in order to be considered. For those hired, there will be some (paid) training offered in the Mathnasium MethodTM  of teaching, as well as ongoing (paid) training opportunities.
